June Meeting: Family Cookout!

The annual ASQ Tidewater Section 1128 Family Cookout is set for Thursday, June 26. We will start at 6:00 PM and run until whenever.  Again, this is a free cookout for all members and their families.  Section 1114 members and their families are joining us.

The location is the Portsmouth City Park, off Portsmouth Blvd, on the Elizabeth River.  There is a playground for the kids; plenty of food; and socializing. There are grills and picnic tables under pavilions.

We have a little business to conduct. But mostly, it will be a social event. This will be an opportunity to say to Section members and recognize the section volunteers.

Please plan to attend. We will have hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, baked beans, chips, and an assortment of soft drinks.

RSVP: Linda Ray at 425-6900 or lray@lightbioscience.com

Section 1128 was founded in May 1991 by fourteen members of the Hampton Roads ASQC Section 1114, because of geographical challenges getting between the "Southside" and the "Peninsula."

The ASQ Tidewater Section serves the communities of Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, and Suffolk.  We also have members from as far away as Elizabeth City, NC and Franklin, VA.

Over the years, Section 1128 has grown to over 140 members. These individuals form a tight knit community in promoting the ideals of ASQ.

ASQ Tidewater, whose motto is "Enhancing the Art and Science of Quality”, is proud to be a member of the international ASQ organization.
